A Riad is a traditional Arab house, traditionally an interior world, which is built around a courtyard with fruit trees and a fountain.

Zouak Room:
The "Zouak Room" has a painstakingly hand-painted ornate ceiling. Zouak is a technique of painting decorative patterns with a very fine brush. It is a technique perfected in Marrakech, but one that graces all of the grand residences and palaces of the kingdom. The ceiling, closet doors, bed frame, and bedside tables are all done with this painstaking technique. The walls are made of a warm golden-coloured tadelakt (a plaster technique which leaves a shiny surface that looks somewhat like marble). The bed is a generous 180 x 200 cm, with bedside tables and lamps. The bedroom floor has a bejmat (a small type of brick) border and is made with a material called das, which is similar to tadelakt. The bathroom follows the same colour theme of tadelakt, and has a tiled floor, vaulted ceilings, a small window, bath with shower, toilet, and a hammered silver mirror and sink. In both bedroom and bath, special attention was spent on providing excellent lighting.
Tataoui Room:
The "Tataoui Room" is designed consistently with the Berber technique of woven oleander branches. This type of work is typical of Southern Morocco and the oasis valleys. Tataoui is more rustic in feel, and is made of brightly coloured woven oleander branches. The ceiling, furniture, mirror frame, and closet doors are all made using this technique. The bed is a generous 180 x 200cm. There is a small dressing area separating bedroom from bathroom. The bedroom walls are a cream-coloured tadelakt. The floor is das. There is a window into the courtyard. The bathroom walls are made with a refreshingly cool light green tadelakt, and cream-coloured zellige (local hand-cut tiles) floor. There are vaulted ceilings, a bath with shower, toilet, and hammered silver mirror and sink.
Sahara Room:
The "Sahara Room" was painted by the former Head of the Art Department of the University of Baghdad. It is painted with desert scenes. The canopy of the bed reminds of a desert tent, and the stars depicted on the ceiling will be sure to transport you to the middle of the Sahara. The Sahara room has a painted-desert landscape on blue tadelakt walls, a sand-coloured das floor, a midnight coloured ceiling with a star motif, a bed with tent-like drapes, a headboard/table with bedside lamps, a small brass table, and a leather poof. The bed is a generous 180 x 200cm. There is a window into the courtyard. The bathroom is done with yellow tadelakt and a deep blue tiled floor, vaulted ceilings, a bath with shower, and hammered silver mirror and sink.
Deluxe Rooms:
For a romantic stay in Marrakech, our deluxe rooms are sure to provide with an elegant and stylish choice spread across our two riads. The rooms are all substantial in size, and with rose petals scattered on your bed, romance is sure to be the backdrop of your stay with us.
The Deluxe Rooms all have air conditioning and fireplaces (except the exquisite Silver Room, which has no fireplace). They all have separate sitting areas.
Each bed has a large duvet in the winter, summer blanket in the summer, two demi-duvet pillows, and two hotel-quality non-allergenic pillows. Sheets are high thread count all-cotton bed linen. Bathrooms hold hand and bath soap, body lotion, plush towels, and cotton bathrobes. The beds are decorated with silk throws in the winter. Additional amenities are provided in case of emergency (shavers, tooth brush, et cetera). Although the metre thick walls regulate the extremes of temperature, in the winter, both a fire and the heating will make sure you are comfortable, in the summer, the air-conditioning and fans keep guests cool.
