From the Airport to The George Hotel
Leave the airport and at 2nd roundabout go straight through onto Memorial Avenue. Stay on Memorial Avenue until it becomes Fendalton Road. Continue on Fendalton Road moving into the left hand lane. Turn left on to Holmwood Road. At the end of Holmwood Road turn right on to Rossall Street. Continue on to Carlton Mill Road moving in to the right hand lane. Continue straight over the lights on to Park Terrace staying in the right hand lane. 200 meters on the left is The George Hotel. We are on the corner of Park Terrace and Peterborough St at 50 Park Terrace. Travelling time to the hotel from the airport is about 20 minutes.

From North to The George Hotel
When you come into the suburb of Belfast you will be on State Highway 1. Stay on this road which will became route 74 Main North Rd. (Route 1 will turn off at Johns Rd) Go over the Styx over bridge and get into the right hand lane. Go through four sets of traffic lights and you will then join on to Papanui Rd. (Route 74 will turn off to the left at the fourth set of lights) Stay on Papanui Rd until you come to Bealey Avenue. Turn right at the lights onto Bealey Avenue and move into left hand lane. Turn left into Park Terrace and get into the right hand lane. About 200 meters you will see The George Hotel. We are on the corner of Park Terrace and Peterborough St at 50 Park Terrace. Travelling time from Belfast is about 20 minutes.

From the South to The George Hotel
Travelling along Main South Rd (Route No 1) you will reach the suburb of Hornby, which is on the outskirts of Christchurch. Main South Rd will become Route 73 (Route No 1 will turn off on the left into Carmen Rd). Stay on Main South Rd until you come to the intersection of Main South Rd and Blenheim Rd. Turn right in to Blenheim Rd and stay on this road until you reach Moorhouse Avenue. Move in to the left hand lane and turn left at the lights in to Hagley Avenue. Follow Hagley Avenue to the end and continue through the traffic lights on to Oxford Terrace. Continue on Oxford Terrace, moving in to the left lane. Turn left in to Montreal Street until you approach Cranford Square then take the left fork on to Armagh St. Follow Armagh Street until it ends and turn right on to Park Terrace. Follow Park Terrace until you reach The George on the right situated on the corner of Park Terrace and Peterborough Street at 50 Park Terrace. Travelling time from Hornby is about 20 minutes.
