Hotel Description
The Lodge was originally built in the 1930’s, in an Art Deco style. The Lodge housed the cream of Tasmania’s pioneering hydro electricity engineers and architects. The guest book featured the powerful and famous and if you have the time to listen, has hosted more than its share of the risqué!

Comprehensively refurbished in 2006, The Lodge retains the original 1930’s craftsmanship and now incorporates contemporary Tasmanian design and the latest in modern communication. Deluxe guest rooms and suites have been sympathetically built within the outer building shell and now incorporate the very finest of Tasmanian accommodation and small luxury hotel living.

Luxurious guest rooms all have original Tasmanian art, internet, flat screen TV, dvds and ipod connections. Indulgent bathrooms have huge baths and heated floors, luxury toiletries and those sensually soft cotton bathrobes.

Some rooms have fires and private balconies. Ponder the view, soak in our cliff top hot tub, wander through the private garden or make new friends with the hairy yet gentle Highland cattle who constantly help us to manage the parkland around The Tarraleah Lodge.
Luxury Hotel Accommodation

The Lodge offers 9 luxury accommodation rooms for guests. All guests enjoy deluxe rooms and suites with views and style, contemporary art, crisp white sheets on custom made Tasmanian king size beds, silk filled doonas and delicately soft mohair throws. Each suite has its own huge indulgent bathroom with heated marble tiles, stand alone baths and waterfall showers.

There are real fires, warm rugs, fluffy towels and luxury toiletries. Kick back or kick on – wilderness, wildlife and walking all await you. However you spend your day, don’t miss a soak in the cliff top spa – that and breakfast cooked to order in the morning is all included. Take some time to relax in The Library – enjoy the warm glow of a log fire or simply enjoy the view and quirky Tasmanian art.

Linked family rooms, less-abled suites and separate accommodation for accompanying guides are all possible.

Lodge guests are welcome to enjoy The Lodge Library and The Bath House.

The Lodge luxury accommodation has 9 art deco style luxury suites. All suites have marble tiled bathrooms with heated floors.
