HISTORY: Architect Jan Josef Wirch originally built Pachtuv Palace in 1765 for the Pachta family. The Palace was and still is considered *the most fabulous Baroque residence in Prague*. In the early 19th century, a classical style rooming house was built adjacent to the palace on the river, which was in turn annexed to Pachtuv Palace. Historically the Palace was closely linked to legendary musicians including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who resided, composed and performed at Pachtuv Palace. The Palace also houses the famous Czech theater *Na Zabradli*, a more recent addition from the 1970*s. Pachtuv Palace is today a cultural and architectural landmark, which has been painstakingly reconstructed to its original grandeur.

Distance to Pachtuv Palace is 13 km, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there.
While taxis and buses are available at the airport, we would be very happy to arrange a transfer for you in our Mercedes Sedan, at a charge of 800CZK.
Bus numbers 119 and 254 run to Dejvicka, the airport's closest metro station. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes, and single tickets cost 26CZK. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around.
Facing the Vltava River, the Pachtuv Palace hotel is 100m from Charles Bridge. Prague's historic centre is compact and easy to explore on foot, as many roads are pedestrianized. There is an efficient and inexpensive public transport system, including trams, buses, metro, and a funicular railway. Tickets are available from tobacconists, stations, and many hotel reception desks, and can be used on all modes of transport. Five of the major metro stations have information offices, with schedules, maps, and directions. On site parking is available (surcharge).

From the airport, take the D5 motorway and follow the signs for "Centrum".
Cross the river, turn left, then pass the National Theater on the right.
The Pachtuv Palace hotel is located just before Charles Bridge on the right-hand side of the road.
