Uniquely situated high on a mountainside, Hotel Glymur is only 45 minutes drive from the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik. The hotel overlooks the scenic Hvalfjordur, "the whale fjord". The hotel has 22 executive rooms, 3 suites and 6 villas.

The Villas are designed in two sizes with emphasis on elegance and style. The beautiful decor reflects harmony with the natural environment, colors and quality furniture. Guests enjoy the spectacular view overlooking Whale fjord through grand windows facing south.

Each Villa is designed with bedrooms, bathrooms and open space kitchen equipped with state of the art appliances. Leather sofas, large screen TV, dining table and beautiful art pieces help create the unique theme of each villa/house. Dining facilities and cutlery caters for 4 – 6 persons.

The spacious bedrooms are all en-suite with large design beds, nightstands and chests, fine leather chairs, tables and flat screen TV. The access to the outdoor Jacuzzi is from the bathrooms. Daily maintenance, bed linen, bathroom ropes and towels included from the hotel.

All the executive rooms are on two floors with a bathroom and a sitting room on the lower floor and the sleeping area on the upper floor.
All rooms and suites have high speed wireless internet access, flat screen TV with around 10 channels including a 24- hour news channel and a movie channel, telephone, a hairdryer and a coffee machine .

Each room is specially designed and has Italian leather furniture and unique art pieces. Every room has a magnificent view either overlooking the fjord or the mountains. The executive rooms are approximately 30 square meters.

Where are we? Well, Glymur Resort is located on the northern side of the "Whale fjord" only 45 minutes from downtown Reykjavík. From Reykjavík you should take route 1 to Borgarnes. Once you are out of Reykjavík and Mosfellsbær you drive for about 15 minutes where you can choose if you want to go around the fjord on route 47 which takes about 15 minutes longer than the tunnel but offers a more scenic view.

Then you will continue about 50 kilometers and find the Resort on the right side of the road. If you go through the tunnel you will take a right on the roundabout and continue further for 10 minutes where you take a right on to route 47. There you will find Glymur Resort sitting peacefully on the left side of the road.
