We were mesmerized at first glance by these enchanting surroundings and by this ancient house on the hill, silent and abandoned, basking in the sunshine and in memories of days gone by. Noble and bewitching in its decadence, yet still rich in the precious details of the building. We were so captivated, that it became our priority to preserve its identity. Thus began the dream of restoring life once again to Le Fontanelle.

Each of the 25 rooms of the Hotel Le Fontanelle –divided into Classics, Prestiges, deluxes, Junior Suites and Suites- are fitted with every comfort. The rooms are authentic gems, where all the space recuperated by the careful restoration, has maintained, intact, its past heritage. The harmonious shades of the furnishing, which are a winning combination of sobriety, minimalism and brightness, merge softly into the colours of the surrounding scenery - fleeting images ready to surprise whenever one looks out of the window or lingers upon the terraces of the hotel, as if it were still the first time.

Double Junior Suite - This beautiful suite has a small seating area, an original wooden-beamed ceiling and a terracotta-tiled floor. Charmingly finished in a traditional Tuscan-style, the suite can be equipped by private terrace on the views.

In the distance the wine road snakes through the half cultivated, half wild countryside. From here, one can admire magical surrounds in the cool of the summer evenings during an unforgettable dinner served in an elegant yet friendly atmosphere.

BARS: Lounge Bar and "La Macina" outdoor Bar
An exclusive atmosphere in which to enjoy elaborate cocktails, wines and other drinks. Leaf through international newspapers and magazines and maybe browse through the shelves of the library. In the evenings, dense with atmosphere and tranquillity, the delicate notes of the pianist will merge to form an ideal setting.
Otherwise what about a light refreshing drink around the poolside bar “La Macina”.

FROM FLORENCE AIERPORT "AMERIGO VESPUCCI"
Take the Motorway, Autostrada A1 (E35) from Firenze Nord going in the direction of Roma. Exit, (uscita) at VALDARNO.
Bear left following directions for Montevarchi and then take the Strada Provinciale (secondary road) 408, for Cavriglia/Gaiole in Chianti and Pianella. After 14,700 kms turn right in the direction of Hotel Le Fontanelle.

FROM ROME AIRPORT - FIUMICINO "LEONARDO DA VINCI"
Take the Motorway, Autostrada A1 (E35) going in the direction of FIRENZE. Exit at VALDARNO. Bear right towards Montevarchi, then take the Strada Provincale 408 for Cavriglia/Gaiole in Chianti and Pianella. After 14,700 kms turn right in the direction of Hotel Le Fontanelle.

FROM PISA AIRPORT "GALILEO GALILEI"
Take the Autostrada A12 (E80) at PISA NORD and then go onto the Autostrada A11 (E76) in the direction of FIRENZE. At FIRENZE NORD, take the A1 (E35) going towards ROMA.
Exit at VALDARNO. Bear right towards Montevarchi, then take the Strada Provincale
408 for Cavriglia/Gaiole in Chianti and Pianella. After 14,700 kms turn right in the direction of Hotel Le Fontanelle.
