Hotel Description
Recently voted Small Luxury Hotel of the Year 2010, Loch Ness Lodge offers its guests an experience of absolute luxury and relaxation. Fine dining, discrete service and sumptuous surroundings in a beautiful setting overlooking the mysterious Loch Ness all combine to make a stay at Loch Ness Lodge unforgettable.
Bringing together the very best of traditional Scottish architecture and more contemporary design, Loch Ness Lodge is a luxurious venue for a romantic escape or for a small intimate wedding, house party or other event.
Vision of Loch Ness Lodge Hotel
The vision for Loch Ness Lodge originated from Scott Sutherland, managing partner, who saw a niche for an exclusive but intimate venue in the Loch Ness area. Scott's parents had already established a successful business of luxury self-catering holiday cottages at Loch Ness and Scott saw the opportunity to build upon this success by creating Loch Ness Lodge.
Interior of Loch Ness Lodge Hotel
The interior of the Lodge, while carefully blending the traditional with the contemporary, takes its inspiration from the wonderful natural environment of the Highlands.
Each of the individually styled bedrooms has been inspired by some aspect of nature from soft lichens and autumn russets to natural stones and purple heathers. Most rooms have spectacular views across the loch to the hills beyond. Though each room has its own distinct character, there is also an easy flow from one to the other.
This harmony continues in the drawing rooms and dining room where the understated elegance and antique furniture is punctuated with more contemporary style and artwork.
Gardens at Loch Ness Lodge Hotel
The steeply sloping grounds of the Lodge have been skillfully landscaped into beautiful gardens with a small bridge across the pond, a feature which is already attracting a variety of wildlife and which provides a magical backdrop for wedding photographs.

Facilities
At Loch Ness Lodge we are delighted to be living and working in the rugged natural environment of the Highlands with its wonderful seasonal range of vegetables, fruit, cheeses, meat and of course a fabulous selection of freshly landed seafood.
It is our aim to supply the kitchen with organic, ethically prepared and locally sourced produce wherever possible. To this end we are delighted to be working with a number of local artisan producers who share our passion for the "field to mouth" experience and it is our hope that we can share this with you.
When in season, you are likely to catch a glimpse of our chefs picking the wild garlic from our private shoreline or some gorse flower from the hillside to add to their dishes. Establishing a kitchen garden in the meadow behind the Lodge is also in the pipeline and will allow the chefs to grow and handpick a range of vegetables and herbs in season.
Ross and Craig, our highly skilled chefs, work tirelessly to create and develop new menus each day. With an emphasis on fresh produce, fine flavour and the simple, elegant presentation of our Franco-Scottish cuisine, the five course dinner is an integral part of the Lodge experience.
